Terms & Conditions

Cancellation policy

Multi-day Tours

Your booking is confirmed once you pay a deposit. This amount is quoted on a case by case basis. Your booking is not confirmed until a deposit has been made. Please pay within 15 working days of making your booking. Your remaining balance for your tour is due 2 months before the tour start date and arrival in Cambodia. Any bookings made less than 2 months before the start of your tour, requires full payment at the point of booking. If you choose to / it is agreed you will pay for your tour in full at one time, a proportion of this amount is allocated as a non-refundable deposit; your Tour Manager will clarify this amount with you when they send you your invoice.

If you decided to cancel your trip for any reason, your trip deposit is non-refundable. Refunds will be made for the remainder of your tour fee according to the following schedule:

  • Full – 1 month or more before trip’s start
  • 50% – 2 weeks or more before trip’s start
  • 25% – 5 days or more before trip’s start
  • 0% – less than 5 days before trip’s start

Please note that in the unlikely event that we cancel the trip for any reason, we will repay all tour fees and deposits in full.

Ayana Journeys accepts no responsibility for flight bookings or cancellation for our guests. Guests book flights at their own discretion and risk. We recommend booking your flight only once your tour is 100% guaranteed.

Day Tours

All day tour bookings should be paid in full at the point of booking (unless otherwise stated) and are non-refundable.

Please note that in the unlikely event that we cancel the trip for any reason, we will repay all day tour fees in full.

All Tours

‘Force majeure’ can be defined as a superior force that prevents one or both parties from fulfilling their obligations under the contract, including war, strike, riot, crime, pandemic, or an event described by the legal term Act of God (e.g. hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption etc). To qualify for a ‘force majeure’ refund, government restrictions such as travel bans must be in place at the point of cancellation or postponement from either your home country or Cambodia.

In the event of a ‘force majeure’ cancellation, full refunds will be offered or the opportunity to reschedule your trip to a later date.

Where cancellations by client take place outside of any government restriction to travel our standard cancellation policy (above) applies. Where postponements by client take place outside of any government restriction to travel we will reallocate your funds to another travel date and invoice you for additional ‘unrecoverable expenses’ (this may include fees to accommodation, compensation to community partners, % of trip leader salary, and administrative costs).

Insurance

We require all participants on Day Tours and Multi-day Tours to have their own insurance. Insurance is not included in the cost of any Ayana Journeys’ experiences. Guests accept responsibility to ensure they have adequate coverage for their trip.
